Dance Troupe Competitions
Walker's Dance Troupe will participate in a number of local competitions/conventions each season between January and April, as well as at a National Championship during the month of June or July. These competitions provide dancers with an opportunity to perform in a variety of venues for different audiences and judges, to develop a sense of "team", and to receive numerous awards throughout the season.
All CASH prizes won at competitions are awarded 100% to the DANCERS!!!
The 2011 Competition Schedule is now available. Most competitions are local, but directions are available for the "away" sites. Entry fees are due as posted. Competition results and the "Top 5" page will be updated after each event.
Proper accessories and makeup complete a dancer's costume. Please refer to the the specifications for hair, shoes, and tights, and to the competition makeup guidelines for specific guidelines on what type of makeup is required and how it should be applied.
